Exclusive Feature: A visit to Elcy’s Café

Regular readers know Elcy’s Café well, but we decided to go there to debut what will hopefully become a regular video feature on this website. With the help of cameraman and editor Craig Hinkle, I sat and talked with Elcy’s owner, Lisa Rittler who this year celebrates her tenth anniversary running this fine shop inside the historic train station in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

With this series, we plan to bring you the stories of those people directly responsible for making our Main Streets and back roads interesting, fun, and vibrant. Instead of foisting some spikey-​haired, snarky host in your face, I think it’s better just to let the owners, originators, and the local characters themselves tell you their stories.
