At Nick Storie’s movie theater on Southeast Foster Road, the glamour is long gone. The building is 87 years old. Hundreds of seats are coated with dust. Metal bars cover the front door.
And in the past few months, Storie has filled one garbage bag after another. But he’s not discouraged.
“When you’re starting with this mess,” Storie says, “there’s no way but up.”
Storie is in the process of buying the old Bob White Theatre at 6423 S.E. Foster Road. And with the help of his new neighbors, he’s trying to figure out what it’s going to be.
