Diner for sale: Morris Lunch

morrislunchRecently found on the "Ugly Investments" website, the latest owners of the Morris Lunch have offered it up for sale for "only" $18,500. This price should just about cover the owner's bill for trucking it out to the Chicago area and maybe amount he paid to the director of the sham diner "museum" which brokered it.

Find out more about it here.

Thanks for the clarification. This diner was also purchased by Frank McLaughlin who wanted to install it in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. When local opposition to his plans killed the project, the diner festered in storage for a few years before the Imaginary Diner Museum snapped it up and presumably dismantled it. I heard that it went to Chicago in pieces, which would mean these photos are not representative of its current state.

And $18,500 is a reduced price! I found this exact same page on May 10, 2008 and posted the link in the RoadsideFans Group. Only then, the price was $29,500!

This Sterling diner last operated as the Jonesville Diner near Clifton Park, NY and the photos on the web site are from just before it was removed from there in 1996.
